The Production of Power from Wind Energy

Step One: You first have to find a nice flat peice of land.
Step Two: Set up the unit.
Step Three: Let the wind hit it and it will turn the axel and this will make the generator turn as well.
Step Four: The generator will send power through the power lines at a nice rate!


Advantages of Wind Power

Disadvantages of Wind Power

  • It doesn't use valuable resources
  • If there isn't very much wind, you won't get much power.
  • If you have a horizontal wind mill, then you need a way to have the propellers face the wind.
  • You need alot of wind mills to have a lot of power
  • It will never run out!
  • You have to have a flat area of land.
  • There is one wind power plant in Prince Edward Island, it is at West Point. All around P.E.I, people can pay like $2.00 more and get wind power so that it will help our earth! There is also one in Bristish Colunbia, there it is Pretty windy there so they get a lot of energy. There is one place there that only uses wind power!
