Discovery: Insulin in 1921 with Charles Best. They received a grant and a room from the University of Toronto. After he received the 1923 Nobel Laverate in Medicine and received knighthood. He discovered insulin could help diabetics by tying the ducts of the pancreas on a dog, Maggie. The dog went into a diabetic coma and was revived and was walking again 20 min. after being given insulin from a cow.
