Invention: The Paper Bag

Some Interesting Facts: Margaret Knight started inventing when she was 12. She was often called a tomboy but she said it didn't bother her. Margaret invented a stop mechanism when she was 12 for machines after she witnessed a co-worker get seriously injured by a machine when it wouldn't stop. This saved the lives of many factory workers so she got hired to work in a paper-bag factory. While there she discovered a new way to make paper bags so they wouldn't be flimsy. She sold the rights to this and started a factory. When Margaret died she had sold her factory and had patented over 22 inventions giving her lots of money. Somehow though when she died she had less then $300 dollars in assets. No one knew how this could be.
