Douglas C Engelbart

Invention: He Invented the first Computer Mouse. Douglas grew up and was born near Portland, Oregon. He served in the Navy in World War II. He worked for NASA for a few years and then went to the University of California at Berkeley. In 1968 in a Conference in San Francisco he astonished everyone by demonstrating computer mouse systems by using an utterly primitive 192 kilobyte mainframe computer located 25 miles away. Douglas has also invented other things that we use today such as windows, shared - screen teleconferencing, hypermedia, and groupware.
