Homework
Students are expected to read for fifteen minutes, and practice math facts each night.
We have a weekly spelling quiz (usually on Fridays), and students are expected to be prepared.
Any work that was not finished during the school day may be sent home to be completed.
Students are encouraged to begin any assignments/projects as soon as they are assigned.
PLEASE do not allow your child to spend more than an hour on their homework in one night. If this is happening please let me know. I welcome any feedback parents may have about your child's homework.
If a student does not have their homework completed there will be a note written in his/her homework log. Parents are asked to initial these notes. When a student does not complete their homework for the 3rd time in a term, the student will remain in the school during the noon recess period to work on their homework, and this will continue each time the homework is not completed from there on until the end of the term.
