Language Arts

• We are always working on Language Arts Curriculum Outcomes, whether we're doing a specific L.A. activity, or reading in Health, writing a response to a Science experiment.....

• The first major project in grade four will be a library project on the Canadian author, Budge Wilson.  We will be reading many of her books, and learning about her life as an author, as well as her personal life.  This is an extensive project  in which students will develop questions, research the answers, and then put their information in paragraph form into a booklet.   

• We're constantly working on our writing skills, and aim to do Writer's Workshop every second day.  Students also demonstrate their writing skills weekly through journal writing.

• In our class we read for a minimum of 25 minutes each day.
