This segment on weather has allowed students to share what they learned about about the broad topic of weather in various ways, whether through graphics, through Knowledge Forum, digital photos, or word processing. With the variety of contributions from students, students have learned how versatile technology can be. Weather graphics using AppleWorks can be shared as works of art, or as interactive puzzles to challenge other students. Those students utilizing Knowledge Forum, in addition to learning word processing, learn to organize their thoughts using the scaffolds and supports provided to guide them. They (students and mentors) are able to interact with technology through the use of build-ons. As informal feedback from students has demonstrated, students are finding technology motivating, and interactive databases very rewarding.
