  Introduction

I am half Acadian and I am learning more about the Acadian people. I have done lots of work on the Acadians and I have learnt a lot about them. In these paragraphs you will learn a few things about what happened in their lives.  It will tell you how hard it was to be an Acadian back in the olden days.

Past

The beginning of the 18th century the French came to Ile St. Jean when Acadia was given over to the English. The refugees came from the mainland and other settlers came from France. They are called Acadians because they used to live in Acadia. The Acadians were settlers.

In the second convention in Miscouche, The Acadians decided on the design for their very own flag. They are called Acadians because they used to live in Acadia. Many had to change their last names so they could be hired for jobs.

Present

For a question I would like to learn how many were there? There is over 3 million Acadians around the world. In Canada, they are mostly found in the Maritimes. Today Acadians in PEI are mostly located in Wellington, Mont Carmel, and Union Corner.

Conclusion

I think I have been taught a great deal about the Acadians because I know lots more about them and how they lived their everyday lives. I also learned that they once were kicked off of Prince Edward Island when the British took over.
