The grade 3 class works on a unit of magnetism.  The discuss the concepts in class, have various experiments to try, and fun worksheets to complete.
To carry this concept over into phys. ed. class, we play 
"MAGNETIC TAG" 
Also called Blob tag, begin with one or two magnetic individuals.  When they tag someone, both the tagger and the taggee are 'drawn together' as opposite poles on a magnet.  They link arms and try to tag other students.  Eventually all the students in the class are part of the magnet.
