Home & School Annual Meeting
The final Home & School
meeting for the 2006-07 school year was held on May 15 in the school
library. Some of the highlights of the meeting included:
- the committee gave support and financial aid to Mrs. Martin to up-grade some very old Physical Education equipment.
- deciding spaghetti will
continue to be served one Friday per month for the remainder of the
year. Subway subs will not continue.
- the committee is
looking for a couple of new members. Some areas of our school
community are not as well represented as other areas. For
example, a parent representing Slemon Park would be nice to have on
board.
Track & Field
Mr. McQuaid is working hard
with our Track & Field athletes again this year to get ready for
the Zone Meet on May 28, at Evangeline School and the Provincials on
June 2.
Grades 1-6 End of Year Field Trip
On Thursday, May 31, all
students in Grades 1-6 will be travelling to Camp Seggie for a day of
fun and activities. This will be their end of year trip as it was
the only time we could get booked into the Camp. Word from other
schools who have attended in the past is that the staff do a wonderful
job with the students.
