World War 2 Compared to
New York City on September 11

New York City on September 11 got a very big surprise when the two planes flew into the twin towers killing almost 3,500 people. It was almost comparable to Pearl Harbor where 188 aircraft were destroyed and 159 damaged, 68 civilians and 2,335 military personnel dead.
In World War 2 people saw things that were a lot worse almost everyday. In London, England bombs fell for more than a year, buildings were destroyed all over London and over 13,000 people were killed.England itself lost about 388,000 people and of that 388,000 there was 62,000 civilians killed.
