Our School
Founded on November 16, 1967, Morell Consolidated School is still going strong. With
165 students and nineteen staff
members, our school prides itself on safety, respect, diversity, encouragement and recognition, responsibility, communication,
and personal growth.
Morell Consolidated is located at the centre of Morell on the St. Peters Highway in Kings County. Our school runs through
grades one to eight. In order to pass students need to keep up their marks to the standards set by the Department of
Education.
The passing grades are as follows:
| Grades 1 and 2- anecdotal | Grade 3- 84% or B | Grade 4- 79% or C+ | Grade 5-74% or C |
| Grade 6-69% or D+ | Grade 7-60% or E | Grade 8-60% or E | |
Our school has up to date technology with two computers with CD-ROMS in the library, and a computer room with
twenty-five top - of - the - line
computers. All classrooms now have their own computers with network hook-ups in them. We also
have a school canteen. In our school we believe that health is very important, and that is why we
sell only healthy foods in the canteen.
We are also very proud of our school milk program. After we buy a certain amount of milk, we win prizes like pencils or even key chains. In our school we believe that children should be rewarded for their work, and that is why we have Winnit Awards. We have about twenty seven awards. One of highest awards in the academic medal. The person who gets this has to be graduating from grade eight, and has to have had four marks in the 90's throughout grade six, seven, and eight.
