STUDENTS DISCONTINUING A COURSE
1. A request to discontinue of a course must be submitted in writing by the student's parent or guardian.
2. A student who is eligible to graduate and who wishes to discontinue a course should, if at all possible, enroll in an alternate course. If there is good reason to discontinue a course and an alternate course cannot be found, the student may be granted "free time" for one period only per year.
3. A graduating student who is granted "free time" and wishes to leave the school during this "free time" must have written permission from the parent or guardian.
4. If permission is not granted by parent or guardian for the student to leave the school, the student must remain in the library or cafeteria area of the school during scheduled class time, unless permission to do otherwise is granted by a staff member.
5. Undergraduate students wishing to discontinue a course must pick up an alternate course or remain in the course that was selected.
6. During scheduled class time, students are NOT to be in the gymnasium, outside the school building, or loitering in the corridors, washrooms or office area.
