FIRE DRILL PROCEDURE


When the fire alarm rings, all students will leave the building in accordance with the regulations below:

1. Students in the industrial area will leave by the north end door leading to the student parking area.

2. Students in the gymnasium area will leave by the front exit door and out the north rear door of the school.

3. Students on the upper west side of the school (room 227 for example) will leave by the north rear entrance of the school.

4. Students in the cafeteria and lecture theatre area of the school will leave by the south rear entrance to the school.

5. Students on the upper east side of the school (Home Ec. Area, for example) will leave by the north front entrance.

6. Students in the locker area and the science area will leave by the south rear entrance to the school.

7. Students in the library and the lower east side classrooms will leave by the main entrance to the school.

8. Teachers will be the last to leave the classroom.

9. Principal and vice-principal will check the washroom areas.

10. All students will assemble on the bus parking lot at the south end of the school.

11. Students are to leave in a quiet and orderly manner.

12. When all clear has sounded, students will return to the classrooms.

13. Students are reminded that it is a serious offence to ring a fire alarm falsely. The system is for your protection and you are not to play with it.
