POLAR BEARS

Polar bears are good swimmers and good hunters.
BLACK BEARS
Black bears are the smallest bears.
They are called "the clowns of the woods."
Black bears can be black, brown, white or gray.
They are good tree climbers.
Black bears hibernate in a hollow log.
They eat honey, berries, mice and bees.
Black bears stay with Mother bear for 1 ½ years.
Father black bears do not look after the cubs.
Black bears have a tan nose.
GRIZZLY BEARS
Grizzly bears live up in the Rocky Mountains and in Alaska.
They are very dangerous.
They are brown with silver tips.
Grizzly bears eat nuts and berries.
They stay with mother Grizzly for 2 or 3 years.
Grizzly bears hibernate under the roots of a tree.
Grizzly bears have a hump on their shoulders.
Father grizzly does not help with the cubs.
BROWN BEARS
Brown bears live in Alaska.
They look like teddy bears.
Brown bears are scared of people.
They eat salmon and grass.
They are light brown or dark brown.
Brown bears stay with Mom for 1 ½ years.
Brown bears cannot climb trees because they are too big.
PANDA BEARS
Panda bears live in the mountains in China.
They like to eat bamboo, bees, honey and fish.
The panda bears have very sharp teeth.
They are black and white.
Panda bears love to eat, sleep and play.
Panda bears stay with Mother for 1 ½ years.
