PROGRAMS:

Core French
Core French is taught to students in grades 4, 5, and 6 for thirty minutes every day. In grades 4, 5, and 6 the program Acti-Vie is taught. As the name suggests, it is an active program, based on real life situations. The program is divided into units or themes which relate to the students' lives. Acti-Vie introduces language in context

and teaches the student to reflect on its use. The program is designed to help students develop strategies which can increase their ability to communicate in a second language. In addition, Acti-Vie fosters an awareness of our multi-cultural society.
