PEITLA represents teacher-librarians and other educators dedicated to the role of the school library in the education of all Prince Edward Island students. PEITLA provides support for teacher-librarians, organizes professional development activities, advocates for strong school library programs and connects the school library community of P.E.I. to national and international organizations.
The PEI TLA has challenged Island students to read 1,000,000 minutes on October 24, 2005.
