Wed, May 21	Continued with parallel and perpendicular lines along with angles surrounding these. Corrected the two sheets from yesterday. Gave two more to be completed for tomorrow. A duo-tang sheet was given. This is to be completed for Monday the 26th.
Tues, May 20	Started section on parallel and perpendicular lines. Complete both exercise sheets if they are not done during class time. Returned the math test on angles and bissecting angles....this is to be signed for tomorrow. This is a very short section, therefore we will have a quiz on this material next Monday the 26th of May. Extra - help will be on Wednesday thee 21st at lunch time.
Thurs, May 15	Corrected yesterday's work on Triangles. Reviewed this information. Went over some diagrams together to figure out how to determine the measurement of unknown angles. Study for tomorrow's test.

Tues, Mar 25	Collected the duo-tang with the problem of the week. A reminder that there is a math test on Thursday of this week. Gave a review sheet as well as problems from page 345 #5,6,7,8,9,10a. This is for tomorrow. Students can also do page 360 for additional review exercises. This is their choice.

Fri, June 6	Students are asked to bring glue and scissors to Monday's class. If possible, it would be great if they can also bring old magazines that can be cut up. Magazines such as Equinox, National Geographic, Canadian Geographic , etc.

Tues, April 22	Reviewed solubility, temperature and saturation. Plotted a comparative graph of 4 substances. Will continue this in tomorrow's class. No homework...other than studying.
Mon, April 21	Reviewed the information from page 32. Did an exercise on solution diluée and concentrée. Copied notes. Started to teach how solubility is affected by temperature. To be continued tomorrow. No homework, but students now know of test next Thursday, May 1st. They should be reviewing a little every day.
Thurs, April 17	Copied notes relating to the variables and factors that will affect speed of dissolution. Read page 32 of the text. Students are to define 1. Solution diluée 2. Solution concentrée 3. Solution saturée 4. Solution non saturée and 5. Solubilité This is for Monday Students should start organizing and reviewing their notes since the beginning of this unit. We will have a mid-test in approx. 2 weeks. That is TBA however it wouldn't hurt to start preparing.

Tues, April 15	Gave class time to work on the lab report for the experiment that was done on Friday. This report is due tomorrow.
Thurs, April 10	Went to the lab to test the factors that will affect the speed of dissolution. Students worked on this in small groups. Time will be given to the students to work on the write up. I will collect this on Wednesday of next week.

Tues, April 8	Read page 30 - coped notes/definitions of soluble, insoluble and dissolution Explained the instructions for the lab that we will do on Thursday.

Mon, Mar 31	Since the students worked very well on their comics during the last two classes but still did not quite finish, I decided to give them the third class to complete their work. They are doing some very nice work! Also....a reminder of test on section 1.2 this coming Thursday, April 3rd.
Fri, Mar 28	Gave the class to work on the comic strip.
Thurs, Mar 27	Reviewed information about particle theory (what was on the films). Explained the Comic Strip Assignment showing the understanding of particle theory. This is done with a partner and 2 classes will be given to work on it. If need be a third will be given...we'll see how things go. Comic strip will be due Thursday, April 3rd.
Wed, Mar 26	(7A) - Watched a film on The Changing Phases of Matter (7G) - Watched both films on Atoms and Molecules plus The Changing Phases of Matter. No homework. There will be a test next Thursday, April 3rd on section 1.2. Extra-help will be on Wednesday, April 2nd at 12:30.

Thurs, May 29	Started the class with a quiz on the Menstrual Cycle. Taught the Male Reproductive System. There will be a quiz on this subject at the beginning of the next class.

Tues, May 20	We are well into our Sexuality Unit. A reminder to the students that there will be a short quiz on the Female Reproductive System at the beginning of next class.
