The Second type of Megalithic Architecture was
the Dolmen. Dolmens were originally underground tombs,
resembling houses for the dead.
We call the method of construction, Post and Lintel. The Posts
are the upright standing stones that support a horizontal stone that
forms a sort of roof, which we call the Lintel. This is an architectural
method we will see repeated and refined throughout history.
