My Mathematical Adventure Assignment There once was a donkey named Lester T. Chester. Lester T. Chester lived on a farm named The Ugly’s Ranch. It was called the Ugly’s Ranch because the owner was very ugly, but very good at math. Lester’s job was to protect the cows from wolves and coyotes and other such predators that could harm them. One day the owner of the ranch, Yosemite Alfred Clockinhyser, (the Ugly), decided he was going to build a new pen fo Lester. It would be his own personal area where he could run around singing Johnny Cash songs all day. A few days passed and finally Yosemite got around to constructing the pen when eh realized that he only had 300 meters of rope that he could use. When Lester heard this he thought that the pen would be very large because 300 is a large number. Yosemite, who is a retired advanced math professor from the best mathematical university in the world, didn’t want to disappoint Lester and have a square pen that was only 75m by 75m. Yosemite thought long and hard about this and came to the conclusion that he could use the side of his giant barn that he created with exact mathematical precision, making it the foremost greatest barn ever created in all of humankind’s existence. He quickly pictured what the pen would look like. Since the side of the barn was 100 meters long, he knew that since he had 300 meters of rope that the pen could be 100m by 100m. So off Yosemite went and created Lester’s pen and when Lester saw how perfect he pen was, he said to Yosemite that once again he had used his mathematical brilliance to create another great device with mathematical precision. Lester ran into his pen and ran around and around the pen singing the Johnny Cash songs which he loved so much and he protected all the cows that were in the neighbouring pen from all the evil predators out there. Yosemite proved that math is very important in building pens and making farmer’s donkeys happy.
