Summerside Intermediate School offers many teams, clubs and groups that students can be involved with. Here are a few of those groups: Success Club There is an exciting opportunity for success for all students at Summerside Intermediate School. Have you ever felt the stress of meeting deadlines, not completing projects, unable to do an assignment because it was too difficult? Now a new program is available to any student in need of support. Everyday at lunch two teachers will be available to assist students with assignments. We are passionate that this opportunity for success will benefit all students. Young Leaders There is a new group at SIS. New members always welcome. Students must: like to smile, laugh and help others. These students must also be brave enough to take on leadership roles. Students are needed that are technologically talented, artistic and creative. We meet every Day 1 at lunch in room 309. We may meet after school at some point, but notice will be given in advance. Sewing Club Sewing club members create a project that using the sewing machine and a pattern. This is a chance to learn more sewing skills and to express your creativity. Products may include home decor items, small quilts, or clothing. Library Club The S.I.S. Library Club consists of students who commit to a regular time each week to help with running the Library Circulation Desk (checking books out and checking books in using MicroCAT, as well as responding to other student requests), shelving books, assisting with snack sales (our Library fundraiser), and helping with our annual Book Fair in November. The 30 students who have joined our Library Club this year have been quick learners and are enthusiastic, positive, and polite--they are the invaluable and necessary team that helps to run our busy Library! |
