The SRHS Multi-Agency Support Team (MAST) works with students, parents/guardians, and teachers to provide
support to students when they are faced with physical, emotional, or social challenges within their school or
community environments.
The team is made up of representatives from Eastern Kings Health, including Community Mental Health, Child and Family Services, Addiction Services, Public Health, a Resource Officer and Youth Intervention Worker from the RCMP, a Youth Worker from the Department of Justice, and the SRHS Administrative Team including the School Counsellor, and a Counselling Consultant from the Eastern School District.

MAST - what help can they offer to you?
The following areas represent a small sample of the concerns that could be addressed by members of the SRHS MAST:

Ø individual or group counselling on health related issues (i.e. eating disorders, pregnancy, STI's)
Ø Health Promotion Programs (Kick the Nic, Student Assistance Program, Healthy Relationships Program)
Ø anger management/stress management
Ø decision-making and assertiveness training
Ø chemical dependency assessments
Ø support to those affected by addictions of other family members
Ø general health education
Ø post-secondary information
Ø counselling support for young people who are victims of physical, sexual or verbal abuse, depression, or neglect
