David Beckham was born in Leytonstone, England on May 2 1975. His parents are Ted and Sandra Beckham, and he has two sisters, Joanne and Lynne. Since David was eleven years old he has watched every game that Manchester United has played. He signed on as a trainee, when he was 16 years old, for Manchester United. It wouldn't be until he was 19 that he would be able to play full-time in the Premier-League. In 1995/96 David helped his team win the FA cup semi-final against Chelsea. He was voted Young Player of the Year in 1996, when he joined England's senior team. His position is mid-field on the right wing and he is known for his ability for crossing and hitting a dead ball, especially at long-range-free-kicks. David played at the 1998 world cup in France, but was left out for two matches. But he was sent off in the next match for a childish foul against Diego Simeone. He was then named to be hated by all, people all around knew about what his temper had gotten him into and was disappointed that he might lose his career. He apologized and replied by saying he would from now on control his temper. David was beginning to be more appreciated by all. In 1999 he wed Victoria Adams at their house which was named Beckingham Palace. Not long after they had a son named Brooklyn and to celebrate his birth David had Brooklyn's name tattooed on his lower back, on his soccer shoes. His second son, Romeo, was born in 2002. In 2000 he was named second best player in the world and had cut off all his boyish hair to look more like a man. David was made captain of the England Team in 2001. In 2002 he broke his foot playing against Deportivo La Coruna, playing for Manchester United.
