Opened the season with a 64 in the first round of the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic, finished T31...Earned highest PGA TOUR finish since T6 at the 2000 International Presented by Qwest with a T8 at the WORLDCOM CLASSIC-The Heritage of Golf...Shared the first-round lead at the FedEx St. Jude Classic after opening with 65. Was the outright leader through 36 and 54 holes at the TPC at Southwind, including a four-stroke lead heading into the final round. Shot a closing 77 for T14.

Career Highlights

Member of the BUY.COM TOUR 1992-97, 1999 and PGA TOUR in 1998 and 2000-01. 2000: In the second half of the season, finished T11 at the FedEx St. Jude Classic on strength of a third-round 65...Three starts later, improved on that with T3 at the B.C. Open. Two starts later recorded the second of two top-10s with T6 at The INTERNATIONAL presented by Qwest, where he earned his largest TOUR paycheck, $121,625. 1999: Member of the BUY.COM TOUR...Made a 12-foot birdie putt on 72nd hole for one-stroke win at the Tri-Cities, his first 72-hole victory. Victory assured a return to PGA TOUR in 2000 moving him to 11th on BUY.COM TOUR money list, where he eventually finished eighth...Joined Matt Gogel as one of two players to win BUY.COM TOUR events in four separate years. 1998: Finished 165th on PGA TOUR money list and returned to BUY.COM TOUR...Top finish was T14 at the Tucson Chrysler Classic. 1997: Eight top-10s helped him earn the 10th spot on the BUY.COM TOUR money list and move on to the PGA TOUR the next season. 1996: Earned his third career title at the rain-shortened BUY.COM Carolina Classic, thanks to a final-round 8-under-par 64. 1995: Member of the BUY.COM TOUR...Won the Utah Classic in a playoff over Franklin Langham and Harry Rudolph. 1992: First BUY.COM win came as a Monday qualifier at the Mississippi Gulf Coast Classic. Amateur: 1988 All-Metro Conference selection at University of Southern Mississippi.
