The goal of the SKC Home and School Association is to serve as the voice of parents and families committed to the best possible education for our children so they may reach their potential to participate in society in a meaningful and responsible way. It believes parental involvement is crucial for developing richness and vitality in our children's learning; as a result, parents are a very important part of the SKC family. Parents participate in the SKC Home and School Association, Lunch Program, parent/teacher meetings, and a myriad of committees. Chances are, on any given day at SKC, you will find parents involved in any number of activities. They play an important role in shaping the school at all levels: volunteering in the classroom, organizing school events, or coaching a team. Parents can also participate in the school via the school's website and Home & School Newsletter, as well as by attending evening events.
The SKC Home and School Association works to keep the lines of communication open between school volunteers, school staff, and parents involved in the education process for the children of our community. Your questions, suggestions and concerns are welcome. Please don't hesitate to contact any of our Executive members.
