Today's Picks On Wednesday, June 25, the last day of school for the students, SKC assembled to participate in the schoolwide receiving of academic and extracurricular awards. The Southern Kings Nature Trail underwent major improvements this summer! Check out the school supply list for each grade in September.

Parents are a very important part of the school by participating in the SKC Home and School Association, Lunch Program, classroom volunteering, and many committees. Parents also are active in the school via the school's website, the Home & School Newsletter, and by attending evening events.

SKC Grade 8 had their Closing Ceremony Tuesday, June 24 with many students receiving awards and medals for academic and extracurricular achievements. Students in grades 1 - 5 recently enjoyed their end-of-the-year trip at Shining Waters Family Fun Park.

Highlights

On Thursday, May 29 our school took part in the South Zone Track & Field Meet in Montague. The District Track & Field Meet took place in Montague Tuesday, June 3. SKC winners qualified for the Provincial Track & Field Meet Saturday, June 7 at Bluefield and performed very well!
