Mort Lyons

Interviewed by his grandson, Dana Harris

Mort Lyons of Murray Harbour joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in June 1954 as an aerial photographer when he was twenty-four years old. Mort joined because jobs were scarce and he needed a career; it turned out to be a thirty-two year job! In later years, he tracked satellites for the RCAF with a 2 ton camera.

With the RCAF he travelled throughout Canada, Iceland, southern Spain, West Germany and various parts of the United States.
