This unit will help students to develop concepts pertaining to

• identity within the context of extended family, family history, values, and traditions
• family, including the interdependence and reliance that individuals have with their families and with the community
• relationships and interactions in the immediate family with siblings and with parent(s) or caregivers
• friendship, including collaboration, cooperation, conflict, and conflict resolution
