Music Program

Stonepark's Music Program consists of a band and strings program. Students interested in music must be tested in grade six in order to gain entrance into the program, as there are usually more applications than there are available spaces. Early morning practices occur one morning a week:

Grade 7: Day 3, Gr. 8: Wednesday and Gr. 9: Thursday; Jazz band is after school on Mondays.

The band program gives students the opportunity to be exposed to a myriad of musical styles and composers. The students also study the history of music and the theoretical side of music.
