Music Program |

Stonepark's Music Program consists of a band and
strings program. Students interested in band must be tested in grade six in
order to gain entrance into the program, as there are usually more applications
than there are available spaces. Band practices occur once a week:

Grade 7: Wednesday (12:25 - 1:15 p.m.) |

Gr. 8: Thursday (7:50 - 8:35 a.m.) |
|
Gr. 9: Tuesday (7:50 - 8:35a.m.) |
|
Jazz Band: Wednesday (3:10 - 4:10 p.m.) |
Students are asked to arrive at school 10 minutes before practices begin on Tuesday and Thursday mornings so that we can rehearse for a full 45 minutes.
* Grade 9's will have a monthly after school rehearsal in addition to weekly early morning band practices. These rehearsals will run from 3:00-4:30 p.m. and will be held on the last Thursday of each month. Music programs at Stonepark give students the opportunity to develop their musical understanding through performance on a musical instrument.
