Ed. and Extra Curricular

Physical Education
An integral part of the total education program, Physical Education contributes to the physical, social, mental, and emotional development of the child. This is achieved through the medium of carefully selected physical activities.
The program offered will vary, but the objectives are to provide each child with the opportunity to develop:
1. Physical skills which enable participation in a wide variety of activities;
2. Physical fitness for an active life in his/her environment;
3. Knowledge and understanding of physical and social skills, physical fitness, principles of movement, and relationship of exercise to personal well being;
4. Social skills which promote acceptable standards of behavior and positive relationships with others;
5. Attitudes and an appreciation that will encourage participation in and enjoyment of physical activity, fitness, quality performance, a positive self-concept, plus respect for others.Note:
1. Students are required to have indoor non-marking sneakers and outdoor sneakers for Physical Education.
2. Footwear should be labelled with a pen or waterproof marker.
3. If your child is unable to participate in Physical Education for health reasons, please send a note to the teacher.
4. Students are discouraged from wearing only socks on their feet. This practice is obviously unhealthy, and especially in an emergency could be dangerous.
