Package Design 2001-02

To be persuaded to buy a product, one thing consumers must be attracted to is the design of a package. Students studied different elements that make a package design attractive and then designed and painted their own package for a fictional product. Some of the design elements included on the packages were: easy-to-read lettering, bold & well-designed font styles, colour that attracts the eye, colour that complimented the product, text that explained the product and logos or product illustrations.

Would you buy any of these products?
Does the design effect your ideas about the product you are buying?
