ME!

I know it sounds crazy,
Possibly absurd,
Out picking daisies?
Sorry, wrong girl.

They think I'm angel
(Not even close!)
Something so fragile?
(That one's way off!)

Couldn't be me
She wouldn't do that,
Would she?
(Don't be so naive!)

She couldn't do that!
(Can't she?)
We know her so well!
(You think?)

People say they know me,
Like the back of their hand,
A saint wearing black.
(That's so pathetic!)

Don't judge them before you know them,
Don't say you do when you don't,
Don't predict before you see,
For if you do, it may not be
Me!

SIBLINGS

They can drive you up the wall
They can make you mad
They can make you sad
They can call you for stupid things
They can ask you to do things at the worst times
But hey, you still love them!

They can be fun
They can be funny
They are always there, whenever even at 2 am.
And most of all they always love you even when they don't show it
And in return you always love them back!

Winter is coming

Beneath the fall moon
the leaves are falling briskly
winter is coming

by: Lee Gallant

*Spring*

It's in the air
I can feel it coming.
Flying in with the geese;
chasing winter away
with its moist warm air.
I can feel it coming
I can hear the steady drip, drip, drip,
of the iciles melting
and being replaced by sunshine
I can feel it coming
The ground is softer,
the lively birds are chirping
I can feel it coming
The white and brown are disapearing
from my window
being replaced by greens of all shades
I can feel it coming
It's the season to be light, happy and free.
I can feel it coming
SPRING!

Sailing is a good way to spend the day,
It is great when sailing in the bay.
It's really not hard to do,
Especially when you have a good crew.
It's relaxing when cruising in the hot sun,
But windy weather is a lot of fun!
It's great when the wind blows in your sails,
But have a motor or paddles if the wind fails!
You should know your knots,
They come in handy quite a lot!
I love to sail I hope you to too,
Next time I go, you can be my crew!

Perspiration

Discerning modest bubbles of moisture,
Dripping from burning, oily skin.
You look down and see the shiny glare off your legs,
The salty taste on your wet lips,
You try to remove it,
But it won't let you, it just re-surfaces,
The wet layer of salt covers your body,
A sign of hard work, or a pleasant day?
But it shouldn't stop you from this adrenaline rush.

Limerick

The day was going so well,
until I heard someone yell.
The cat caught a mouse
and brought it into the house!
And down the stairs I fell.

I awoke to the sound of a "squeak"
The noise made me shriek.
So I found some cheese,
and asked the mouse please,
Would you not come back for a week

Autumn

The autumn wind blows,
parades of colorful leaves
dancing through the sky.

Childhood

Back in a summer's day
When the children used to play
Where the skies were light and grey

Now the children have grown up
And have little ones of their own
To run and play in the grass

Year after year
Everything changes
Where did that summer's day go?

Snowboarding

I like to snowboard
it's fun soaring threw the air
and grinding on rails.

Bob the Spider

There once was a spider named Bob
He liked to eat corn on the cob
He was the scary spider
Who sat down beside her
Now he's a pile of black slob

Lost...

Yelling, yelling, louder, louder,
home, School, Where ever I go.
I can't get away,
even if I want to.

I'm sad, sad hearted,
no one understands,
understands what's inside.

I feel like I'm running,
running away from the darkness.
I want to reach the light,
leaving the darkness behind.

I cry, and cry,
day, and night,
night, and day.

Why doesn't anybody help me?
Understand me?
Understand what's inside?

I need help,
help to get out of the darkness.
I want to be free of it.

Does anyone really know
Why people are going to die?
Why Americans need duck tape
And why governments lie.

Does anyone really know
Why people are going to war?
Didn't they learn from their mistakes?
Is there need for more.

Does anyone really know
Why five people decide our fate?
Will God be finally be ready
When our world waits by his gate?

Does anyone really know
Why army's are going to kill?
When they're made to serve and protect
If they don't, then who will?

Does anyone really know
Who gave them to right?
Five year olds know better
To talk things out then fight.

If five people can destroy the world
Just think what one billion can do
If we don't all stop and start to care
Maybe we'll have some control too.

OH P.E.I

With thy arms stretched wide
As if to fly
With thy red soil
Made for man's toil
With thy rivers deep
And thy forests creep
With thy people dear
Void of all fear
With thy valleys great
In thine verdent state
With thy fields abound
And all thy meanings profound
With thy family's love
And all of the above
You are my home, oh this P.E.I
And never shall I wander
Least I wonder why

got hit by a car

Teddy Bear

I sit and look at this beige teddy bear
It is a dog teddy bear with his tongue sticking out.
I wonder if this teddy bear ever just gets bored,
Sitting there staring at absolutely nothing at all.
Or listening to people talk or gossip about someone or something.
I also wonder if he minds it when I take him and throw him up in the air.
Or when my dog enjoys playing with him or biting him.
Does he ever just get lonely without anyone to talk to,
Or without any friends.
I think to myself is he watching my television,
Since he is place right beside it.
What does he do while he's all alone in the day time?
I guess I will never know that answers to any of those questions.

What Am I?

I am round
I am big and juicy
I sometimes have a label
I don't have legs
I am edible
I am red
I am an apple

Autumn

The giant oak trees whisper gently,
The wind blows the orange and red coloured leaves through the grass,
The leaves scatter everywhere quietly,
The blue sky is filled with white puffy clouds that are floating by,
The sun shines brightly through the Autumn sky,
It must be the season of change.
A poem by Kerri-Anne Keefe
