Limerick

Limerick poems are a short form of poetry known for being funny.
There are five lines in a limerick poem to form a mood, picture, or feeling.

They are often funny and fairly simple to write:
The first and last lines have seven-ten syllables
and rhyme with each other while the third and fourth lines have five-
seven syllables and rhyme with each other.

To write a limerick poem it always help to begin by choosing a character,
place, and name. You should also try to find words that rhyme.
The last line in your poem should make the reader laugh
by finishing the story with a funny line.
It is also a good idea to try to keep a good rhythm when writing the poem.

Limerick quality varies a lot
some are clever, and others are not
some are hits, others miss
some are boring like this...
And the worst ones of all have not plot!
