The Blood and Immunity

Tiger

Blood has two major components: cellular and non-cellular.  Each of these play an important role in circulation and immunity.  The human immune system is well developed to defend against pathogens and foreign materials.  As with any system, there are numerous disorders which can affect it.  Further details are presented in the slide shows below.  Other sources of information can be found in the links provided.  Lab exercises are also given.  Be sure to test your learning in the interactive quiz.
