Excretion

 

As living things carry out the biochemical reactions that allow them to live, they are constantly producing poisonous products.  These poisons must be removed before they can damage and kill cells.  The process of excretion increases in intricacy in more advance organisms.  The human excretory system involves the urinary system, the liver, the skin, and the lungs.  Further details are presented in the slide shows below.  Other sources of information can be found in the links provided.  Lab exercises are also given.  Be sure to test your learning in the interactive quiz.
