Gaudet's Lodge

Dr.Patrick Charles Murphy had the this house built from a design by Island architect William C. Harris after the great Tignish fire of 1896. Dr.Murphy later became a senator. In 1927, it became the home of Joseph A. Bernard, who was the Lieutenant Governor of P.E.I. from 1945-50. In 1959, the house was bought by Camille Gaudet and operated as a rooming house and restaurant.
