Tracadie Cross Consolidated School is located 6 km from the Scotchfort Reserve.  Scotchfort is the largest of  three Abegweit First Nations' reserves.  Mi'kmaq students from Scothfort make up about thirty percent of our student population.  At present, the school has one aboriginal teacher and one aboriginal teacher assistant.  

The First Nation pays tuition to the Eastern School Board for each Abegweit First Nation student attending Tracadie Cross Consolidated School.  The First Nation also employs one teacher and one teacher assistant to work directly with the First Nation students, in cooperation with the school staff.

The primary goal of this site is to showcase student's work while promoting cultural pride and awareness.  With the guidance and supervision of the teaching staff, the site will be maintained and updated by our aboriginal students.
