Hockey Day in Canada: To celebrate Hockey Day in Canada, students are reminded of the following activities:
Tuesday, February 7th - Hockey Hat Day
Wednesday, February 8th - Don Cherry Day
Thursday, February 9th - Jersey Day
Friday, February 10th - Ball Hockey Day
VRCS will host a special assembly during Hockey Day in Canada festivities. On Thursday, February 9th, we will host CBC representatives, NHL alumni and the Stanley Cup! Among those in attendance will be Bruce Rainnie, Gordie Dwyer, P.J. Stock and Wendel Clark (NHL alumni subject to change).
Reminder to students, parents and community members to please send pictures of all things hockey - playing hockey, wearing hockey-themed clothing, playing ball hockey, etc. These photos will be used in a slideshow that will be played during our assembly. Photos can be emailed to Mrs. MacDonald at rlmacdonald@edu.pe.ca
Everyone is welcome to attend the assembly on February 9th at 9:30 a.m.!
On Saturday, February 11th, Katelyn Drake and Julia Lea will be playing in a hockey game in Summerside against a girls’ team from British Columbia that will be broadcast live on CBC! Good luck girls!

Gymnastics Meet: The zone meet will be held tomorrow, practice at 8 am. There will be no gymnastics tomorrow after school.
Drama Club: Monday and Thursday from 2:45 to 4:00 pm.
Grade 9 Fundraiser - Valentine Candy Grams!! The grade 9's will be selling Candy Grams for Valentine's Day for a fundraiser. All students are welcome to buy a candy gram for themselves or for a friend. The Candy Gram includes a bag of candy and a sweet Valentine message. Each will sell for $1 and will be delivered on Valentine's Day. The Candy Grams need to be ordered and paid for before Valentine's Day. They will be on sale from Wednesday, February 8th-Friday, February 10th at lunch time.

100th Day of School: Will be celebrated on Valentine’s Day. Students will be taking part in special activities during the afternoon.
Grade 9 Immunization: Reminder of the grade 9 immunization on Monday, February 13th. Please return the consent form if you have not already done so.
