January 2012 Calendar:  The calendar for January 2012 is attached.

Lunch Program:  The lunch program has been a huge success in 2011.  Thank you to the volunteers and the families who have been supporting the program.  The lunch program will start up on Monday, January 9, 2012 - the menu will go home with today’s newsletter.  This menu is also available on the VRCS website, as well as the Subway form.  Just a reminder that orders MUST be passed in Monday morning for Friday’s lunch and NAMES and GRADES must be filled out on the returned forms as well.

Eastern School District Board Meeting (January 11^th):  The Eastern School Board will hold its January meeting on Wednesday, January 11^th at 7:00 p.m. at Vernon River Cons. School.  The public is invited to attend.

Home and School Meeting:  The next Home and School meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, January 17^th at 7:30 p.m. – the agenda and minutes of the last meeting will follow.

Millview-Vernon River 4-H Club Monthly Meeting:  Wednesday, January 4^th at 7:00 p.m.  Reminder to members to bring a donation for Sadie’s Place.

Orwell WI Weekly Card Plays:  The Orwell Women’s Institute will begin their weekly auction/45 card plays on Monday, January 9^th at 7:00 p.m. in the Orwell Corner Community Hall.  President Anne MacDonald invites one and all to join in this traditional winter activity.  A small admission fee will cover prizes and light refreshments.  For more information or weather cancellations please call Anne at 651-2179.
