Until further notice, if school is cancelled in the morning due to storm conditions or unsafe traveling conditions, notice of cancellation will be aired over local radio stations by 7:00 A.M. If school is cancelled during the day and is a school decision, notice will be aired over local radio stations prior to the buses leaving the school. Because young children become anxious when they are unsure where to go, and because phones must be left free for incoming parent calls, it is VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOUR CHILD KNOWS WHERE HE/SHE SHOULD GO, IN CASE OF EARLY CLOSURE. If you or your emergency designate are not at home when school is cancelled, PLEASE CALL THE SCHOOL WITH ALTERNATE ARRANGEMENTS FOR YOUR CHILD.
If the school is closed at any time through the day, ALL extracurricular activities WILL BE CANCELLED, as will any community functions scheduled in the school for that day.
