The Vernon River Handbook is organized in such a way that it starts with first contact and then moves into the more particular areas that parents and community members may want information about.

 

PEANUT FREE SCHOOL

Please note that VRCS is a peanut free school. We have a student who is allergic to peanuts and peanut products (ANY FOOD with peanut ingredients). This allergy is LIFE THREATENING.

SAFE School

As part of the Eastern School District initiative, Vernon River will be practising Lockdown drills throughout the school year. Parents will be notified when we will be holding our most of our drills. If you have any questions or concerns about this practise please contact Mr. Wood or Ms. MacDonald.

 

Electronic Devices

The Eastern School District has made it a policy that NO electronic devices will be allowed in the school, unless they are school approved. This includes but is not limited to cell phones, mp3 devices, digital cameras and hand-held gaming devices. Teachers have been instructed to acquire the device and then return it to the students’ parents. Thank you for your understanding in this matter.
