Westwood's Peace Culture Page
Westwood has a peaceful atmosphere, because we practice Second Step and Anti-Bullying concepts.
The children of Class 3D have browsed to find interesting information on PeaceKeepers, Monuments, and International Peace symbols. Enjoy testing your memory, by playing our interactive game: "Who Wants to be a PeaceMaker?"
One exciting outcome of our Monuments browsing was that the children designed Westwood's Own Peace Monument . See image of this monument on our Monument Page. It is decorated with many International Peace Symbols.
In November the children held a special Remembrance Day Assembly in honour of the Canadian Veterans. Many students entered the Royal Canadian Legion Poster Contest. Some of these posters have been used to illustrate the song "Larks" by Bradley Morrison in Hester Boyle's Class, music by Hank Stinson. You can listen to "Larks" and see the posters at the same time by going to "Songs" Page
