Defining Concepts in Assistive Technology  -  Familiarize yourself with issues in Assistive Technology  by visiting  the Assistive Technology Training Online (ATTO) Project Web site and by working your way through this online module developed by the University of Buffalo and the   US Department of Education's Office of Special  Education and Rehabilitation Services. 
1.Read Defining Concepts- and summarize what you think assistive technology is and explain how an inclusionary approach is changing classrooms
2. Read Basic Technologies  -and explain the difference between acess and adaptive technologies. 
3.Read -Primary Usage and describe the role of AT in communcation, manipulation, mobility and learning.
4. Read Considerations and outline factors for success in acquiring AT.
5.Read Trends and Issues and summarize assessment, cultural, design trends and training, funding and maintenance issues.
